Step-by-step guide

  1. Install X-Mouse Button

-When installing the software accept all defaults in the install wizard.

-Once installed you will see a mouse icon in your task bar.

  2. To configure the settings, right click on the mouse icon located in your task bar and select ‘Setup’.

  3. Navigate to the ‘Scrolling’ tab and click ‘Add’.
  4. We will now choose the application we want to apply the mouse scrolling feature to run on.

There are two options to complete this method. NOTE - Step A. is the easier option.

    1. You can select an application that is currently open/running on your computer and click OK. Any application you would like to create a profile for, run or open the program before clicking 'Add' and you will see it in the 'Choose Application' window.
    2. You can browse for the .exe file location and press OK.
  5. The below settings will need to be configured on the ‘Scrolling’ Tab:

Scroll Method = Method 1 (SCROLL Msg)

    Vertical Lines = 5

Click Apply to save the settings.

  6. A profile for each application will need to be created in order for the mouse wheel function to work. i.e. If you want the mouse scroll wheel to work in Framework Administration repeat Steps 3 through 5.

Helpful Tips

There is an option to save an entire profile for all applications that can be used to import to multiple computers/user profiles to save time setting each profile up. (Please note the profile will save the location of the .exe file).

Once you have configured all the applications you want the mouse wheel scroll feature to work in, you will need to save the profile. This will save your settings for all applications listed in the 'Application/Window Profiles'.

You can then import the saved profile to other users, saving you setting up each individual profiles again.

It is possible to hide the icon after configuration is complete by right clicking on the mouse icon in the task bar and clicking 'Hide Icon'.
