Incorrect Software Version - Incompatible

This article describes a solution to the error message as shown below:


Update all PC's including remote machines when updating Framework software.  Failure to do so will result in an incompatible software error message such as the above.

Solution:

To resolve, uninstall the Framework version shown in the error (seen above as 7.0.9717) and install the current Framework version running on your system (seen above as 7.0.9814 or greater).

Uninstalling Framework

Go to your Control Panel

Select Uninstall or change a program

Click on Framework Version X.x.xxxx and click uninstall.

OR

Start → Type 'Add or Remove Programs' → Open Add or Remove Programs → Uninstall from list (as above).

Ensure you are removing the correct software before uninstalling.

When you update to a software version higher than your Database, be wary that this will ask you to update your database version to your current software version. Doing so will disallow users with an outdated version from using the database. It is our recommendation to update all Framework workstations currently in use, otherwise it will result in the same error message as above.
