This article describes a solution to the error as shown below:

Using SQL Authentication to Connect to SQL Databases

Solution:


Setting up ODBC to use SQL Authenticaion


  1. When configuring your ODBC Connection you will need to specify the Username and Password you have setup on the SQL Server


  2. Configure the application to use SQL Authentication to connect to the database.

  3. If you do not update the Framework.ini file you will get a error message similar to



  4. Edit the Framework.ini file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Insula Group Pty Ltd\Framework\Bin (In this example this is for Framework ECM)

  5. Add in the username and password for the SQL Databases you are connecting to and Save the file.



  6. The Framework application will use these settings to connect to the SQL Database intead of using Windows SQL Authentication.

  7. We would recommend saving this .ini file in the 'Service' Folder in the Framework Directory for future use.
