Security User
User
The User screen displays the names of all users that are known to Framework ECM, the groups they belong to, and other user and security level information.
The Security Group drop-down list includes all security groups in Framework ECM. All users are assigned to a user group. Selection of a security group from the list will display a list of users that are specifically assigned to that group.

Creating A Framework User
- Click New. The General tab of the User dialog will be displayed.
- Enter the details.
- Select the Region/Division tab.
- Enter the details.
- Click OK. The dialog will close and a new user will be created.
User Dialog
This dialog is used to create a new user or edit existing ones.
User Dialog - General Tab
The General tab is used to enter basic details about a Framework ECM user, such as their login name and password.
General Group
Field | Description |
---|---|
Staff | Staff member entity name. A user must be linked to a Staff Member entity. If the entity does not exist, it can be created from this dialog. |
User Name | User name for the staff member to login to Framework applications. Example A common format for a login name is to use first initial and surname; such as tsmith, awilson, etc. |
Name | Name that will represent the user when logged in to Framework applications. Example The name appears as the creator of Comments, Messages, or Alerts. |
User Group | User group applied to the user. Example Administrator, Management, Maintenance, Colour Selection, etc. |
Reg/Div Restricted? | When set to Yes, the user's access in Reporting is modified to exclude Region/Divisions not allocated to them. |
Reg/Div Super User? | When set to Yes, Super User attributes are assigned to the user, but only for the Region/Divisions allocated to them. |
Super User? | Is the user a super user?
Super User status should only be applied to those responsible for system administration. All other users should be able to have security permission restrictions applied. |
Override Grp Sec Level? | Does the user override the group security level?

Override Same Level? | Can the user edit a job belonging to another user in the same level as them?

Inactive? | Is the user inactive and able to log in?

Password Group
Field | Description |
---|---|
Password | Password for the user name to access the system. |
Confirm Password | A field to re-enter the password to confirm it has been entered correctly in the Password field above. |
Notes Group
Free text area for notes regarding the user.
User Dialog - Region/Division Tab
The Region/Division tab is used to display region/divisions that are assigned to a specific user.
Region/Division List
Column | Description |
---|---|
Default | Indicates if a region/division is the user's default region/division and will be the first listed at login. |
Region/Division | Name of the allocated region/division. |
Department | Name of the allocated department for the user in that region/division. |
Inactive | Is this region/division record still active for the user? |

Allocating A Region/Division To A User
- From the toolbar, click . The User Region/Division dialog will be displayed.
- Enter the details.
- Click OK. The dialog will close and a new region/division will be allocated to the user.

This dialog is used to assign login standards and tools to a user.
General Group
Field | Description |

Region/Division | Region/division to be allocated to a user. |
Default? | Is the region/division the default selection?

Inactive? | Is the region/division inactive for this user?

Log In Group
Field | Description |
---|---|
Module | Default Framework ECM module opened when the user logs in. |
Initial Licence | The licence that will be used when the user first logs in. Example If the user works predominantly in Work Flow areas, the Work Flow Management licence may be the most appropriate to allocate. Once the user accesses another licensed area of the system, such as Diary or Construction Logistics, they will automatically use one of those licences. |
CRM Tools Group
Field | Description |
---|---|
Department | Department that will be allocated to a CRM record the user creates, such as a Comment or Alert. |
Team | Team that will be allocated to a CRM record the user creates. |
Method | Default method that will be applied to a CRM record the user creates. |
Show Alerts? | Alerts created for a client, job or land record will be automatically displayed to the user?

Show Follow Up? | Follow Ups created for a client, job or land record will be automatically displayed to the user?

Work Flow Analysis Group
Field | Description |
---|---|
Show Analysis? | Is the user set up to run work flow analysis tests?
Scheduling of automatic tests is controlled by Preferences in the Security module. |
Major Stage | Major Work flow stage of the jobs to be considered for the user's tests. |
Minor Stage | Minor Work flow stage of the jobs to be considered for the user's tests. |
Staff Role | Staff Role allocated to the jobs to be considered for the user's tests. |
Staff Member | Staff Member allocated to the jobs to be considered for the user's tests. |
Results To Include | Type of test to be applied for the user. These are based on elements such as whether the tasks are completed or not, due to be completed, or have exceeded the allowed duration. Example All Tests, All Completed Tests, All Incomplete Tests, Incomplete Tests Overdue, and All Future Tests. |
Tests To Perform | Work flow tests are allocated to a staff member. Click the Tests To Perform drop-down button to select the staff member whose tests are to be considered for the user. |
