RMS Management

CRITICAL

Changes made to the RMS can significantly alter the underlying Framework ECM database. Please consult with Insula Software before making changes.

The Repository Management System (RMS) refers to the definition and management of the underlying database structure and its use throughout Framework ECM. The three main reasons the RMS is modified is to:

  • Define the Framework ECM database
  • Set a default value for a field
  • Link Framework ECM fields to reports
  • Link Framework ECM fields to workflow analysis tests
  • Link Framework ECM fields to business rules

The RMS Field and RMS Table screens mimic the physical contents of the Framework ECM SQL database. Changes made to this area of the system will be overwritten when an upgrade is performed.

The RMS Field Context and RMS Table Context screens modify the virtual tables and fields currently being used. Changes made to this area of the system will be overwritten when an upgrade is performed except for custom default values, customised label modifications, and User Defined Field (UDF) definitions.
