Validity for Facades, Series, and Siting

Validity for Facades, Series, and Siting

Validity

The Validity screen is used to link together Façade, Series, and Siting records to a house type.  This means that when a House Type is allocated to a job, only the available Façades will appear in the list to be allocated.

For this to be done, the Facades, Series, and Siting records need to be created in each of their screens.

House Facade

A house façade refers to the external appearance of a house, particularly its front elevation.

The House Facade screen is used to manage house facades. Each house façade may be used for a number of house types, so they are not linked to specific house types at this stage.

House Series

House series refers to the provision to have different versions of a house over a period of time.

The House Series screen is used to manage house series. Each house series name may be used for a number of house types, so they are not linked to specific house types at this stage.

House Siting

House siting refers to the way the house plan will be sited on the land, usually indicating a right or left placement. The House Siting screen is used to manage siting types.

Example

A house plan may be flipped to put the garage on the left or the entry to the right.

Creating Validity

  1. From the Validity list, select Facade.
  2. From the House Types list, select a house type. The Valid Items list will be updated.
  3. Click New. The Valid House Facade dialog will be displayed.
  4. Enter the details.
  5. Click OK. The dialog will close and a new house facade valid item will be created.

The same process is followed to set validity for Siting and Series.
