Creating Revenue Split Templates

When an application is placed within the system you will place charges against it. These charges will be fees in relation to the application.These fees will often be divided between different entities (e.g. the broker, the financier or referrers.)  TFS performs the splitting of revenues with Revenue Split Templates.

  1. Select Templates \ Rev. Split Tpl.
  2. Click in the Templates area.
  3. Click on the New button.
  4. Enter the name for the split.
  5. If required change the name for Short Name.
  6. Click Ok.

A template is then added.

In the example above you can see that there is no next to the template that has been created and on the right hand side we see Revenue with nothing underneath it. The purpose of the template it to say how the revenue will be split between the relevant entities. The sum of the splits must be 100% of the revenue before the is placed in the Complete column.

You can add two different types of splits;

An end split. This type of split is a set value or percentage.

A group split. This type of split is a set value or percentage that will be split up with further splits.


In this article we will set up a split where there is;

A flat fee paid to the referring entity.

60% of the remainder goes to the application broker.

40% of the remainder goes to the Enterprise.

Adding the flat fee to the Referrer

The first part of the split will be the flat fee so that the remainder can then be divided between the Broker and the Enterprise.


  1. Click on the Template that you want to edit.
  2. Click on Revenue.
  3. Click on New.
  4. Click on Yes to add an end split
  5. Click in the Fixed Amount box and press spacbar to toggle to Yes.
  6. Enter the amount of the Split.
  7. Click OK.


The split will then be added to the Template.


To split the rest of the revenue we will now add a group split.



  1. Click Revenue.
  2. Click on New.
  3. Click No to add a Group Split.
  4. Enter the % to be split (Note you can enter a fixed amount if required by setting Fixed Amount to Yes and then entering the value.)
  5. Click OK


The Group split is then added to the template


We will now add to End Splits to the 100% Group Split


  1. Click on the Group Split.
  2. Click on New.
  3. Select Yes to create an End Split.
  4. Select Broker.
  5. Set the percentage split that will be paid to the entity.
  6. Click on OK.


The End Split is then added to the Group Split.


We will now add the remaining end split for the final 40% of the Group Split.


Click on the Group Split.

Click on New

Click on Yes to add an end split.
