Merge clients

Sometimes you may find a situation where a duplicate client has been created and applications put against them. This article shows you how to merge them.

 1. Merge the contacts - Click here to expand...

In the Contacts screen of the client that you want to keep create new contacts for any contacts that exist in the client that you do not want to keep that do not exist in the current one.


  1. Select New.
  2. Select No.

  1. Search for the client contact that you want.
  2. Click on Select when you have selected the required contact.

  1. From the Client \ Applications screen of the client you are keeping click on Import.
  2. Enter the application number.
  3. Click on the application.
  4. Click on Select.
  5. Click No to transfer the application.

Repeat this as required.

The client you no longer require should not have any applications against it as they have all been transferred.

When you have copied everything from the entity you no longer require you can delete it.

IMPORTANT if you delete a client it will PERMANENTLY delete them and anyassociated applications or quotes.

Prior to deleting the client you should check the Client Applications screen to see that you have moved all of the required applications and quotes.

Select the client you are about to delete and open the Client \ Applications screen.

If relevant then also check the client quotes screen (Client \ Quotes)

  1. Ensure you have the client that you want to delete selected.
  2. From the Client Overview screen select Delete Client.
  3. Click on Yes.
