Customers using structured inspections

Overview

The 2024.4 publication of Onsite Inspect has introduced features which make it possible for customers to be assigned structured inspections. This article explains the new functionality.

Template

A template was added.

  1. Enter instructions for the customer that will be shown at the start and conclusion (Submission.) of the inspection.

  2. Select Allow Adhoc items to be raised

  3. Select Defect Item

  4. Create and specify a group as the Default group for ad hoc items.

  1. Specify the Mandatory Fields.

  2. Select Work is Allowed.

 

If required add Notification On Change for the relevant people and actions

If required add a DMS Automation.

When you have entered all of your requirements publish the template.

 

When adding the inspection to the customer project ensure that Customer Access is set to Edit.

Customer adding items

When the customer adds the items, they will be added to the specified Defects group.
