Updating Sentinel Hardware License Key
The following procedure is used to update your sentinel hardware licence key. It uses the Field Exchange Utility which is installed as part of Framework's installation. If you have multiple keys, this process must be completed for each key.
-The Field Exchange Utility must be run on the system that hosts the sentinel hardware licence key.
-This process can be performed using remote access.
-Please close all Framework products before performing this process.
Step-by-step guide
- Open the field exchange utility (Start → All programs → Insula Software → Utilities → Field Exchange Utility)
Get the locking code
If an error is returned, this indicates that the sentinel hardware license key is not connected to the current machine.
Copy the code that is generated from the field exchange utility through the 'copy to clipboard' button.
Email a copy of the code to Insula Software: support@Frameworkecm.com.au
Insula Software will send you an updated code via email, typically in response to your request.
- Before updating the code, ensure all users have exited the system
- Copy the new code into the second text box
Click the Update License button to complete the license update
If an error is returned at this step, please contact Insula Software support.
- On the system that contains the sentinel hardware license key, restart the sentinel protection server services OR restart the system
