The Follow Up Due dialog forces a check of follow up items that have been set that have now become due. The dialog will display follow up items for clients and entities.

The dialog will appear automatically when a follow up is due, but can be re-instated after being closed by using the Follow Up Due screen. If no follow up is due, this dialog will not be displayed.

  • From the Tools menu, select Follow Up Due.
  • From the sidebar, select Tools then F/Up Due.

The Finance Shop version 13 introduced the ability to link follow-ups to applications or quotes. If the follow-up is linked then when you press the Select App button the linked application will be made the active one in the Context bar


 Delaying a Follow Up Due Item - Click here to expand...
  1. From the Follow Up list, select a follow up item.
  2. Select the amount of time until the follow up item is required to be displayed again.
  3. Click Snooze. The follow up item will be delayed for the amount of time specified.

  1. From the Follow Up list, select a follow up item.
  2. Click Edit. The Follow Up dialog will be displayed.
  3. Edit the details, as required.
  4. Click OK. The Follow Up dialog will close.

  1. From the Follow Up list, select a follow up item.
  2. Click Select Client. The current job will change to be the client relevant to the follow up item. The context bar will be updated.

  1. From the Follow Up list, select a follow up item for an entity.
  2. Click View Entity. The Entity dialog will be displayed.

  1. From the Follow Up list, select a follow up item.
  2. Click Complete. The follow up item will automatically have the current date and time entered as the completion date and time and the item will disappear from the Follow Up Due dialog.
 Completing All Follow Up Due Items - Click here to expand...
  1. From the Follow Up list, select a follow up item.
  2. Click Complete All. The Complete All Follow Up confirmation prompt will appear.
  3. Click Yes to complete all items. The follow up items will automatically have the current date and time entered as the completion date and time and all of the items will disappear from the Follow Up Due dialog.
  4. Click Close. The dialog will close.

  1. From the Follow Up list, select a follow up item.
  2. Click Close. The Follow Up dialog will close.



  • The Complete and Complete All buttons can only complete a follow up item based on the following new rules for multiple users: 
    • If the follow up is not for a multiple user then it will be completed.
    • If the follow up is for multiple users but All Users to Complete is set to No then the follow up will be completed.
    • If the follow up is for multiple users and All Users to Complete is set to Yes, then a check will be performed to determine if all other selected users have completed their part.
      • If all users have completed the follow up item, then the follow up will be completed.
      • If all users have not completed the follow up item, then the follow up will remain incomplete.
