Performing Sage Timberline Sales Estimating Document Integration

Sage Timberline Sales Estimate Document integration is performed using a wizard when running the integration software.


Performing Integration - Wizard

The following procedure describes how to create a Timberline Estimating Estimate file (*.pee) from Framework Documents.

To run the Timberline Estimating Integration Wizard, the UseWizard setting in the .ini file must be set to 1.

Click Start > Programs > Insula Software > Framework Integration.Framework Integrationwill start.

  1. From the File menu, select Open. The Select Location of Ini File dialog will be displayed.
  2. Select the location of the .ini file.
  3. Click the Open button.
  4. At the welcome screen, click the Next button. The Integration Options dialog will be displayed.

     
     
  5. Select the required integration operation.
  6. Click the Next button. The Integration Operations dialog will be displayed.

     

  7. Select the required integration operation.
  8. Click the Next button. The Framework Data Source Name dialog will be displayed.



  9. Enter the data source name for Framework.
    • Select the data source name if it differs from the .ini file.
  10. Enter the data source name for the Integration Mapping database.
    • Select the data source name if it differs from the .ini file.
  11. Click the Next button. The Framework Job Number dialog will be displayed.



  12. Enter the required division, job number, and suffix.
  13. Click the Next button. The Job Confirmation dialog will be displayed.
  14. Confirm the information.
  15. Click the Next button. The Document Selection dialog will be displayed.
  16. The available documents for the selected job will be displayed. Click the Show Only Final Status Documents tick box if required.
  17. Highlight the document to export to Framework.
  18. Click the Next button. The Timberline Destination dialog will be displayed.
    • Select the location of the Blank document estimate.
    • Select the destination of the new Timberline estimate.
    • Select the DSN for this destination.
    • Select the Precision Assembly DSN.
    • Select the destination of the staging folder.
    • Select the DSN for the staging destination.
  19. Click the Next button. The Email dialog will be displayed.
  20. Edit the email settings, if required.
  21. Click the Next button. The Proceed with Integration dialog will be displayed.
  22. Click the Next button to begin integration.
  23. When the process has completed, the Integration Complete dialog will be displayed that contains the Integration Log.
  24. Click the Finish button.
