Configuring A Logistics Site

  • Devices that run Logistics Tablet should be thought of as Logistics Sites

  • These instructions outline the setup of a Logistics site that is able to sync with the Framework ECM Database.



  1. Open Framework Logistics Desktop


  2. Navigate to Site>Logistics Site






  3. Select an empty slot and click Edit.


  4. Give the site a Name typically, this would be the name of the user.


  5. Select the Staff member that will be allocated to the site and their role.


  6. Provide the Hostname of the Device that will be allocated to this site.


  7. Set the Criteria Method. This will usually be Construction Manager or Construction Supervisor, The Criteria Value will be their name selected from the list.





  8. Click the Connection tab.


  9. Specify the Host Server which will be the name of the server that holds the Framework ECM Database, as well as the Fwork ECM DSN name and a TCP/IP Port for this connection if it is anything other than the standard.







  10. Launching the Logistics Tablet software on your device should now prompt you to perform a Sync and configure the device as a Logistics Site.
