To enable the reschedule functionality, you must contact Insula support as a new email preference has to be added.

Overview

Constructions Logistics Tablet v7.2.3023 delivers two new major pieces of functionality;

  1. Rescheduling activity simplification.

  2. Bulk Actions.

Rescheduling Activity Simplification

Previously when a user rescheduled an activity, firstly, an email would be sent to call it off and then another email would be sent to call it up for the new date.

This often meant that suppliers would be overloaded with emails calling off and calling up activities. The process has been simplified with enhancements to the Reschedule option, which now only uses one email to reschedule the activity.

New Email Template

To facilitate this, you must configure the new email template Logistics Reschedule: Call Up.

You will only have this option when the required update has been made.

Activity Rescheduling

Single Activity Reschedule

When you select Reschedule, when you have only one activity selected, you will see the activities Call Forward window, and you can set the new Called For date.

The activity will be rescheduled.

The supplier will receive a single email;

Bulk Activity Rescheduling

  1. Touch inside the Called For cell of the activities that you want to reschedule

  2. Select the new date.

  3. Click OK

  4. Repeat until you have rescheduled all the required activities. The selected activities are indicated with an orange rectangle shown in the right-hand side of the box.

  5. When you select Reschedule, you will see the following;

  6. When the user clicks Yes, they will see a message telling them that the eligible activities (Those activities that had a previous called for date) have been rescheduled.

    The Called For dates will then be updated;

Where an activity has multiple purchase orders associated with it, a reschedule email will be sent to each associated supplier.

Bulk Actions

You can now perform some actions against multiple activities.

  1. Select the activities by touching inside the #. Repeating on all of the activities that you want to perform the bulk actions on.

  2. Select Bulk Update.

  3. Select the action you want to perform.

  4. Click OK. You will then be asked to confirm the selected update;

    When complete, you will see a message advising you how many activities were updated.

    A comment will be made against each activity that you selected for a bulk update.

  5. To clear the activities you have selected, use the Clear Selected Activities update.
