Implementing Logistics Activity Colour Coding

Framework version 8.0 or higher.

Introduction

The colour coding of construction activities has been introduced in Construction Logistics.

Colour coding allows a builder to attach specific meaning to construction activities, and for this to be visible to all users across all Framework Logistics applications.
eg. You may wish to nominate and visually separate activities that are to be updated by supervisors in the field or by office-based staff.

The number of colours available is extensive, and they can be used for any desired purpose.
Your team must be trained in your colour coding/meaning to ensure the chosen colours are understood and interpreted correctly.

 

This is visible in the following components:

  • Framework ECM

  • Construction Logistics Desktop

  • Construction Logistics Tablet

This article explains what needs to be done to enable this functionality.

Implementing the colours in Logistics Desktop

Browse to Administration > Activity

  1. Edit the Activity List.

  2. Select an activity and Edit.

     

  3. Click on the ellipsis and choose the colour that you want to apply.

     

  4. The colour will then be displayed against the activity.

     

     

ECM

In ECM the template will be automatically updated to the new colour.

 

Logistics Tablet

In Logistics Tablet the template will be automatically updated to the new colour.
