The Drafting screen manages multiple drafting activities at various stages in the construction process.

Example

Planning Drawings, Construction Drawings, Contract Drawings, etc.

Procedures

Creating Drafting Items With New Job

By default, each new job has the Construction and Final Drafting Types created.

Additional types Changes/ReworkDetailedPreliminary, or Sketch can be created with a new job by setting preferences.

These preferences are in Security > Permissions > Framework ECM > Production Management > Drafting. They are available to be set at Default or Context level.

Creating A Drafting Item Manually

  1. From the Drafting Type drop-down list, select the drafting type.

  2. Click New. The General tab of the Drafting dialog will be displayed.

  3. Enter the details.

  4. Select the Management tab.

  5. Enter the details.

  6. Click OK. The dialog will close and a new drafting item will be added.

The order of the drafting records for each type is determined by the dates included.  If a new record is created but the dates are absent or occur prior to the existing record, the existing record will still be the primary.
