Extra Orders from PO Items

Overview

A new feature has been added to the Work Orders dialog that allows users to easily create new Work (Extra) Orders from existing items on a purchase order. New buttons to perform this task are now available on the PO dialog in Framework Construction Logistics Tablet software

Functionality Delivered

1. The PO Item dialog allows multi-select so that multiple rows can be selected

2. When one or more items are selected and the "Extra Order" or "Back Charge" buttons are clicked. A confirmation message confirms the action "Create Extra Work Order" or "Create Back Charge Work Order".

3. Based on the select a confirmation message confirms the action - “Create a new work order from the selected items?” Options: Yes, No, Cancel (default)

   1. For Yes:

      1. a new work order (and work order items) is raised

      2. the work order dialog is displayed to allow the user to edit the newly created work order

4. Work Order content is automatically populated from the source PO:

   1. Raised By - current user

   2. Cost Centre - from PO

   3. Supplier - from PO

   4. All "Notes" fields will have the same note: "Created from PO# XXX" - where XXX is the purchase order number

   5. When the action is "Back Charge", the "Back Charge Required?" field is set to Yes

5. A Work Order Item is automatically created for each selected PO Item:

   1. Item Code - the PO Item Code

   2. Item Description - the PO Item description

   3. Qty - always 1

   4. Unit fields - as per PO Item

   5. Cost Price - set to the PO item cost price NOTE: The system will only set the price if the current user has permission to see PO/item prices.

   6. Notes - the PO Item notes

Quick Guide:

1. Click the PO button

2. Click the PO record

3. Click the PO item

4. Select either Extra Order or Back Charge Action

5. Click “Yes” to Create a new Work/Back Charge Order from the selected items?

• Work Order Dialog Screen - amend accordingly

• Work Order Item Dialog Screen - amend accordingly
