Framework Integration - Configuration

Article Index

The configuration of Framework Integration involves instructing the software what to perform and from which systems, databases, etc. This configuration information is stored in a standard Microsoft Windows profile (.ini) file. Each integration job or task is configured in a separate .ini file.

Configuring A New .INI File For Integration

  • Create a copy (in the same folder) of the .ini file for the required integration type.

  • Rename the file so that it is clear what type of integration is being performed and the data that is involved.

  • Edit the file using a text file editor (such as Notepad).

  • Review and change (as required) each profile setting and value in the file to reflect the requirements of your IT infrastructure and software environment.

  • Save the .ini file.

A detailed explanation and typical values for each profile setting can be found in the Integration Profile Configuration topic of this user guide.

It is vital that all settings and values be reviewed, understood, and updated where required so that integration is implemented correctly.

Configuration Review

Insula Software recommends performing a double check of integration profile files to ensure they are complete and correct. This is especially true when implementing integration directly into a production environment.

Insula Software are available to assist in reviewing profile configuration files.
