The Specification Item screen is used to manage the specification items that will be used for specification templates.

Each specification item represents a single row in a colour selection document. A specification item is associated with a specification profile that already exists in the system. A single specification profile may be used by many specification items.

Example

The external paint profile may be used by each item that uses external paint, such as front door, external doors, render, etc.

Procedures

Creating A Specification Management Item Group

  1. From the Groups list, select a specification management group.

  2. Click New. The Specification Item Management Group dialog will be displayed.

  3. Enter the details.

  4. Click OK. The dialog will close and a new group will be created.

Creating A Specification Item

  1. From the Groups list, select a specification management group. The Items list will be updated.

  2. Click New. The General tab of the Specification Item Management Group dialog will be displayed. Enter the details.

  3. If required, select the Thumbnail tab. Use the Select Thumbnail button to select an image.

  4. If required, select the Image tab. Use the Select Image button to select an image.

  5. If required, select the Estimate/PO Mapping tab. Enter the details.

  6. Click OK. The dialog will close and a new specification item will be created.

The Copy button can be used to create a duplicate specification item. From the Items list select the specification item to be copied followed by the Copy button.
