Entities already defined in The Finance Shop may be assigned or linked to brokers. The Broker Assignments screen is used to view the brokers established in the system and to assign entities to them.

- From the Groups menu, select Broker.
- From the sidebar, select Groups then Broker.
Entities are assigned to brokers so they can be used on the Criteria Screen to narrow the results. This allows brokers to market to certain entities personally.
There are two lists on the screen:
- Brokers: Displays the brokers in TFS.
- Broker Assigned Entities: Displays all entities that have been assigned to a selected broker.

- From the Brokers list, select the required broker. A list of entities will be displayed in the Broker Assigned Entities list.
- Click the New button. The Search dialog will be displayed.
- Enter or select the required search criteria to find the entities for the broker.
- Click the Search/Refresh button. A list of entities that match the entered criteria will be displayed in the Search Results list.
- Select one or more entities from the list. If more than one entity is required from the list, hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard as you select the entities from the Search Results list.
OR
Click the Select All button to select all entities in the list. - Click the Select button. The entities have been assigned to a broker and will be displayed in the list for the broker.

Entities can also be moved from one broker assigned list to another.
- Select the Broker to which the entity to be moved currently belongs.
- Select the entity to be moved.
- Drag and drop the group by keeping the left mouse button depressed, ‘pick up’ the group and drop it into the new location.
