This document shows you how to create an extract of entity data from your TFS database. It assumes that you have created the campaign.

Creating the stream

At their most fundamental, Streams describe a set of criteria or fields and the output format to be used when processing a marketing campaign. Streams are useful because one campaign may have different outputs. You would create a different stream for each campaign output.


  1. Click in the Streams area of the screen.
  2. Click on the New button.
  3. Enter the Name for the stream.
  4. Select the marketing company the data is to be supplied to (Optional).
  5. Enter some notes against the stream to identify its purpose (Optional).
  6. Click on OK.

Specifying the stream output


  1. From the stream dialogue box click on the Output tab.
  2. Click on the pop up button and select either Clients and Prospects or All entities.
  3. Click on the pop up button against format
  4. Select either CSV or Excel.
  5. Enter a name for the output file.
  6. Click on the OK button.

Selecting the fields

When you are doing either a CSV or Excel campaign you have to pick the fields that will be selected.


1) Click on the field that you want to extract. When a field description has the word entity.

2) Click on the >> button to move the field into the selected fields.


NOTE

The << button will move the highlighted Selected Field back to the Available Fields column and the X will move back ALL the Selected Fields back to the Available Fields,


Criteria Selection

When you have defined the fields that you want to extract you can then define the criteria for the entities that you wish to extract. Refer to this article for more detail on specifying criteria.
