Framework VPB Browser is a stand-alone application that allows view and search access to all areas of the Variation Price Books (VPB) without the need to be logged into other Framework Product Suite applications. Although no changes can be made to the VPB using this application, it is a handy tool to quickly view the price or notes of a VPB item. A benefit of Framework VPB Browser is that it does not require a licence to run and thus can be installed on any workstation and viewed by any user with Framework ECM access.

 

About VPB Viewer

 

The VPB Viewer screen is comprised of two tabs:

 

  • Browse Tab: Used to browse the sections and items of the selected VPB.
  • Search Tab: Used to search for specific VPB items.

The Browse tab is used to browse the sections and items of the selected VPB.

How to...

 

View A VPB Section

 

  1. From the VPB Version drop-down list, select the required VPB version. The VPB Sections list and the Items list will be updated.
  2. From the VPB Area drop-down list, select the required VPB area. The Items list will be refreshed.
  3. From the VPB Sections list, select the required section. The Items list will be refreshed.

 

Tip: Use the and icons to expand contract sub-sections.

 

  1. Click View. The Section dialog will be displayed.
  2. To finish viewing a section, click Close. The dialog will close.

 

View A VPB Item

 

  1. From the VPB Version drop-down list, select the required VPB version. The VPB Sections list and the Items list will be updated.
  2. From the VPB Area drop-down list, select the required area. The Items list will be updated.
  3. From the VPB Sections list, select the required section. The Items list will be updated.

 

Tip: Use the and icons to expand contract sub-sections.

 

  1. From the Items list, select the required item.
  2. Click View. The General tab of the Note Item, Table Item, or VPB Item dialog will be displayed.
  3. To finish viewing an item, click Close. The dialog will close.

How to...

 

Search For An Item In The VPB

 

  1. In the Search field, enter a search term.
  2. Click Search. The Search Results list will be updated.
  3. From the Search Results list, double-click a VPB item. The Browse tab will open and display the location of the item.
