Overview
There are several different types of resources that you can make available in the Customer Portal.
To add resources that are used in the Customer Portal you need to be in the Customer Portal - System Administrator perspective.
Resources are attached to the Workflow Stages. As a project progresses through the workflow the resources will be made available to the customer.
Types of Resource
Video Resources
This type of resource can be a video hosted on the Platform or a link to a video.
Field | Description | |

1 | Name | A meaningful name for the resource. |
2 | Display Name | The name, of the resource, displayed on the customer portal. |
3 | Display Category | Pick the display category for the resource. This will determine which tab the resource will be shown in on the resources section of the customer portal e.g. FAQ \ Knowledge Hub \ Videos. |
4 | Description | A meaningful description for the resource. |
5 | Details | If this resource is a link to a document in Almirah you can insert the link here. |
6 | Image/Video Content | The image or video for the resource. |
7 | Resource URL | The URL if the resource is a hosted video . |
FAQ
An FAQ resource is entered directly through Customer Portal > Resources. These are used to define simple text-based frequently asked questions.
You can add links and images using the editor.
Glossary & Definitions and Factsheets
Both Glossary & Definitions and Factsheets resource types link to documents in the DMS.
Linking to Resources from the DMS
To use documents from the DMS you must first add a Document Type for each document that you wish to add.
Document Type
When setting up the Document Type you need to ensure that you set the necessary permissions for the Customer Portal.
Adding the document
When you have created the Document Type you can add the document that you want to use.
You will use the Copy URL function to get the link to the document.
Linking the Document to the Resource
When you click Add Resource you will see a screen similar to the one below
Give the Resource a meaningful display name as this will be the one that the customers see.
In the details, section add the text that you want to be displayed to the customer and click on the Link option and paste the link to the resource from the DMS.
