Always make a backup prior to changing your system.

The following guide requires the user to have administrative access to the DMS proxy, and the IIS machines local files.
Please ensure you are logged into a user with sufficient access, before commencing.

To backup the IIS servers settings prior to deployment, run the following command in Command Prompt as an Administrator (you MUST right click and select Run As Administrator).

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd add backup "PreMsDeploy”

You should also take a backup of the Almirah/DMS site in File Explorer. Copy this to another location on the drive for safekeeping. This location is C:\inetput\wwwroot\[Site Name]

After the IIS Server has been backed up, you may proceed with the next steps.

If the 'Deploy' context menu is missing, click here to expand...

Troubleshooting Web Deploy 3.6

If the Deploy menu is missing from IIS, first close IIS, browse to Programs and Features, select Microsoft Web Deploy 3.6 and click Change.

Even though it appears as though the feature is installed, click the button next to IIS Manager UI Module and select Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive. Finish the installation manager and restart IIS.

Open the IIS Manager by clicking Start > Run and typing ‘inetmgr’

Within IIS Manager, expand the Server node and the Sites node, then select the Default Web Site

Expand the Default Website, and right click on the Almirah/DMS Proxy site, and select Import Application.

Copy the up-to-date DMS proxy file, which is located on our FTP site: ftp://ftp.insulagroup.com.au/Perspective Platform/Perspective DMS/ Copy the file to the local disk so that it is accessible by the IIS server.

You are NOT required to unzip the file, the .zip is used by the import process.

Press ‘Browse’ and select the .zip file from the local hard disk. After this is added, press next.

No changes on this screen are required, press Next.

Remove InsulaDevProxy from the Application Path field (i.e. make the field blank), press next.

Always ensure you’ve selected the correct site before commencing this application update process.

From the screen, select the ‘Yes’ option to delete extra files/folders.

Click Finish to complete the Import Application Package process.

The dialog will now close, and the new site can now be accessed via the URL, or by clicking the ‘Browse’ option in IIS Manager.

From the site, click the Operational Status screen. This should appear with two green ticks.

Go back to the home screen, then select the Document Sync screen.

Press the ‘Sync Now’ button and ensure this finishes without error.
