When you open the inspection for the first time, it will look as shown to the left.

To add an item to the inspection;

  1. Press the + icon.

  2. Select whether you are going to take a photo or select a photo that you have already taken.

5

In our example, we will assume that you are taking a picture of the item that you want to be raised on the inspection. To make it clear where the issue is as a minimum, you should take 2 photos. One of them a close-up of the issue and the next a broader photo that allows the inspector to see the location of the item in relation to the rest of the area.

6

You will then see the image that you have taken if you are happy with the image select Use Photo. If the image is blurred or does not show the defect properly, then select Retake.

7

You can then annotate the photo.

  1. You can draw on the photo using your finger. It is suggested that if it is not immediately apparent that you circle the issue or draw an arrow pointing to it.

  2. Pressing Clear will remove any annotations that you have made.

  3. Pressing Rotate will rotate the image.

  4. Pressing Delete will clear the image and return you to the inspection screen.

  5. Pressing Next will allow you to take another photo.

  6. Pressing Done will save the picture(s) and display the items detail screen.

8

  1. The Name will automatically populate with the number of the item that you are adding. There is no need to change this.

  2. When you press the Location area, you will get a selection spinner at the bottom of the screen.

Locate the area/room where the defect is and press Done.

  3. Add any notes relating to the location.

  4. When you press the Location area, you will get a selector at the bottom of the screen.

  5. Add a Description of the issue.

When you have finished press Save at the top right of the screen.

9

You will then see the item in the Inspections screen.

  1. The amber icon shows this item has not been uploaded to the web portal.

  2. Shows when the data from your inspection was last uploaded to the web portal.

You should ensure all items have been uploaded to the web portal before exiting the app.
