SMS Settings in TFS Administration

Settings for SMS

Before you can utilise the functionality you will need to edit the following Preference settings within the TFS Administration program

To see the SMS option in the CRM submenu on the sidebar you need to set the following preference;

1) Select Security \ Preferences.

2) Select TFS Main Program \ Appearance \ CRM.

3) Click on Show on Sidebar -SMS?

4) Click Modify

5) Toggle the value to Yes by pressing the spacebar and click OK.

To see the SMS option in the Tools menu on the sidebar you need to set the following preference;

1) Select Security \ Preferences.

2) Select TFS Main Program \ Appearance \ Tools.

3) Click on Show on Sidebar -SMS?

4) Click Modify

5) Toggle the value to Yes by pressing the spacebar and click OK.

To be able to use the SMS functionality you need to enable the Service.

1) Select Security \ Preferences.

2) Select TFS Main Program \ Settings \ SMS

3) Click on SMS Service Enabled?

4) Click Modify

5) Toggle the value to Yes by pressing the spacebar and click OK.

You have to define the number that will be shown as the from number to the person receiving the SMS message.

1) Select Security \ Preferences.

2) Select TFS Main Program \ Settings \ SMS

3) Click on SMS Service 'From Number'

4) Click Modify

5) Enter the phone number the person receiving the text will see click OK.
