When configuring logistics tablet on a desktop, you may run into the following error message:

When you go to log into a database that is not configured for the particular device you are trying to log into, you will be presented with the following message.

The below temporary fix may be applied to gain access to a tablet.

Solution:

Firstly, you will need to check your DSN settings to ensure you have not pointed two different DSN's to the same database.

You can check that within your ODBC within the following tabs:

Next, you need to ensure that the database itself has the correct permissions to enable users to access it.

Go into Program Files\Insula Software\Logistics Tablet\Bin.

On the Fworktablet.exe, send a shortcut to the desktop.

Update the properties of the shortcut to include the following after the .exe on the Target: " -skipHostValidation

A typical Target might be... : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Insula Group Pty Ltd\Framework CstLTablet\Bin\FworkCstLTablet.exe" -skipHostValidation

e.g.

The -skipHostValidation is case sensitive so ensure that it is entered correctly.

This should not be used as a permanent fix, as your device ID from your machine to the one that is configured (the site) will be different, and therefore you cannot synchronise any data back to the office.

Always ensure you are using the correct version of ODBC.
