*Clicking image will take you back to troubleshooting article list
When opening Logistics Tablet on a PC where the hostname (PC name) is different to the one stored in the database, you may run into the following error message:
When you go to log into a database that is not configured for the particular device you are trying to log into, you will be presented with the following message.
The below fix may be applied to gain access to a tablet, such as the requirement for an office manager sync being used by many users within a team (all with different hostnames).
Solution:
Open Data Sources (32 Bit)
Follow Step 8 of the Logistics Tablet installation guide to instate the FworkSQLCstLTablet data source.
Framework Logistics Tablet Database Setup
For the database, if using the manager sync, this will be called FworkSQLCstLTablet_Office and typically kept on the same SQL server as your Framework ECM and License databases.
After successfully connecting the data source:
Go into Program Files\Insula Software\Logistics Tablet\Bin.
On the Fworktablet.exe, send a shortcut to the desktop by right clicking the file, Send to → Desktop (create shortcut).
Update the properties of the shortcut to include the following after the .exe on the Target: " -skipHostValidation
A typical Target might be... : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Insula Group Pty Ltd\Framework CstLTablet\Bin\FworkCstLTablet.exe" -skipHostValidation
e.g.
The -skipHostValidation is case sensitive so ensure that it is entered correctly.
Once entered, launching Logistics Tablet should no longer prompt for incorrect site details, or incorrect hostname.
