Overview

The SupplierConnect functionality for Framework has been reworked, and the on-premise web portal functionality has been deprecated.

...

The SupplierConnect process will feel familiar to existing users, with improvements included to give greater visibility over notifications and responses made by suppliers/trades.

Functionality Delivered

No changes have been made to the process of issuing notifications from Logistics Tablet or Framework ECM.
A user can still send attachments and add additional instructions in their notification wizard dialog.

When a notification is sent from a tablet device, it will issue an email to the supplier, which will contain a web link.
A supplier will still access and provide a response, as they would for the on-premise SupplierConnect site sites now.

Email templates have been standardised, and all suppliers will receive the same email format.

Resending/Retrying Issue Notifications

If a notification fails to send and an issue icon appears against a task, a supervisor/office user can retry to send the notification again.
This will send the same information (retry) to create a schedule request on the web portal.

To do this, in Logistics Tablet, tap the Called date which will open the notification wizard dialog.

...

From the dialog, select the “Re-send the notification(s) for this item” option, and press Next to finalise this.

Changes to Framework ECM - Cloud Connector

The newest version of Framework will require a Cloud Connector to be installed as an IIS Site, to handle the sending and receiving of notification data.

A new icon is available on the status bar to indicate the current status of the Cloud Connector (active/issue).

When active, it will appear when hovered with a tooltip “Cloud Connector: Active”.

...

If there is an issue with the Cloud Connector, the icon will flash red, and the icon will become clickable, which will present a dialog to the user.

...

This dialog will contain an informational message about what to do if this appears for you, as well as the last update date/time of the connector.
Note that this will continue to appear as flashing until the issue has been resolved.

Additional information about the Cloud Connector Solution can be found on the installation/configuration page.
