Note

The following conditions apply to revenue splits:
1. When creating a split template, you can only have a minimum split at the first level. i.e., not within a group split.
2. When creating a custom split in TFS, you must create fixed amount splits first before creating percentage splits. Once the first percentage split is added, you will not be able to create anymore fixed splits.
3. When creating a new split, if you set a minimum split you cannot have a fixed split.
4. You cannot add to an End Split.
5. You cannot add splits that bring the total to more than 100%. For example, if 95% has been allocated then the next End Split or Group Split cannot be greater than 5%.
6. The Revenue Split dialog includes a list to select the specific entity. If you choose "[Specific Entity]" from this list then the Entity field will be available in the Revenue Split dialog to search for and select a specific entity. Any other selection (i.e., "Referrer") will dynamically change value based on the current application details.

IMPORTANT CONCEPTS

  • End Split?: Toggle Yes/No. The default setting is Yes. If changed to No, this allows the creation of group splits (see the example below).
  • Specific Entity: there are six (6) pre-defined options, Accountant, Broker, Enterprise, Referred, Vendor, and [Specific Entity].
  • Minimum Split?: Toggle Yes/No. A minimum dollar ($) amount for the split. The default setting is No. If changed to Yes, the Minimum Split field is changed to active.
  • Fixed Amount?: Toggle Yes/No. The default setting is No. If changed to Yes, the Fixed Amount field is changed to active and thus requires a dollar value.

    Note

Note: Fixed Amount splits MUST be created before any other revenue splits.
