The following steps are required to upgrade a blank Framework Logistics Tablet database.
Step 1 - Restore Framework Logistics Tablet Blank Database

- Open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (Start > All Programs > Microsoft SQL Server > SQL Server Management Studio).
- Connect to the required server.
- Right-click on Databases and click Restore Database.... The Restore Database dialog will be displayed.
- In the To Databases field, enter the Framework Logistics Tablet blank database name.
Example: FworkSQLCstLTablet_Blank - In the From Device field, click the Browse button. The Specify Backup dialog will be displayed.
- Click the Add button. The Locate Backup File dialog will be displayed.
- Browse to the folder location of the backup file.
Example: C:\Framework\ - Select the backup file.
Example: FworkSQLCstLTabletXX.bak - Click the OK button. The Locate Backup File dialog will close.
- Click the OK button. The Specify Backup dialog will close.
- In the Restore column, tick the backup to be restored.
- Select the Options tab.
- In the Restore the database file as list, click the Browse button for the Framework Logistics Tablet database (e.g., FworkSQLCstLTablet). The Locate Database Files dialog will be displayed.
OR
Use the default file location. - Select the folder location where the database will be restored to.
Example: C:\Framework\ - In the File Name field, enter the file name: FworkSQLCstLTablet_Blank.mdf
- Click the OK button.
- In the Restore the database file as list, click the Browse button for the Framework Logistics Tablet database log (i.e., FworkSQLCstLTablet_log). TheLocate Database Files dialog will be displayed.
OR
Use the default file location. - Select the folder location where the database will be restored to.
Example: C:\Framework\ - In the File Name field, enter the file name: FworkSQLCstLTablet_log.ldf
- Click the OK button.
- Click the OK button. The database restoration will be performed.
- Close Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
Step 2 - ODBC DSN Configurations

ODBC DSN Configuration - Framework Logistics Tablet
- Open Data Sources (ODBC).
- Select the System DSN tab.
- Click the Add button. The Create New Data Source dialog will be displayed.
- Select SQL Server Native Client XX.0.
- Click the Finish button. The Create a New Data Source to SQL Server dialog will be displayed.
- Enter the following details:
- Name: FworkSQLCstLTablet_Blank
- Description (optional): Enter a description for the database connection. For example, Framework Logistics Tablet Blank Database.
- Server: Select the SQL server from the Server drop-down list.
OR
Enter the SQL Server name.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Next button.
- Tick: Change the default database to
- From the drop-down list select the required database.
Example: FworkSQLCstTablet_Blank - Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button. The ODBC Microsoft SQL Server Setup dialog will be displayed.
- Click the Test Data Source... button.
- If successful, click the OK button.
- Click the OK button. The ODBC Microsoft SQL Server Setup dialog will close.
- Click the OK button. The Data Sources (ODBC) Administrator dialog will close.
Step 3 - Upgrade Framework Logistics Tablet Database
