Adding Check Out details to the Document Structure

You must specify the location where checked out documents will be placed when they are checked out.

Log into the DMS as a System Administrator and go to Document Structures, locate the required structure and view the Applicable Sites accordion

Click on the Site hyperlink and enter the Lan path details for the Documents Check Out LAN Path.

Working folder for users

For each user that is required to check out documents, you must specify their working folder settings.

Log into the DMS as a System Administrator and go to Contacts and locate the contact who you want to allow to check documents out and in. Providing that, Check in / Check out, is configured for your DMS you will see a new accordion Document Check In / Out Settings.

Set Working Folder

When you check out a document it is placed in a working folder in one of your local sites.

When you click Edit you can set the Working Folder, Default Site, Check Out Site for the user

Create Working Folder

When you have added the details click on Create Working Folder

Set Document Structures

Then place ticks in the Document Structure that you are allowed to check in/out from

Access the proxy

Prior to checking out documents, you need to ensure you can access the proxy server. In a browser enter the proxy server URL.
