The Entity screen is designed to manage entities in TFS. It displays all of the entities in the system excluding clients and client contacts.

  1. It can be access from the Entity \ Entity menu.
  2. It can also be access from the Administration \ Entity menu.

An entity is a person or company within the system regardless of what they do. Thus, a staff member, a broker, a financier, a vendor, a supplier are all entities. Entities also play roles within the business.

A single entity can play multiple roles. For example, an entity called John Smith may be a staff member; ABC Bank will be a financier; whilst ABC Accounting may be an accounting firm and a referrer.

Entity Roles are set automatically within the system however they can be changed or deactivated. An entity will always be associated with a role. A range of entity roles are included (e.g., accountant, bank, broker, etc.).
