Overview

There has always been an option to allow multiple instances of the same document.

We have seen emerging confusion with users when a document supports instancing, that if they don't enter an instance name (currently allowed) they add multiple documents thinking they're adding new instances, but it's overwriting the last one (ie. with no name).

Adding a document

The add document process, in all areas, has been updated so that where the document type supports instancing, an instance name must be supplied. ie. it is no longer optional and cannot be empty.

Dependent on your naming conventions you can see the instance name in two places.
