Before enabling MYOB integration verification of the integration process must be performed.

Enable TFS Integration in the Sentinel Hardware Licence Key

To enable TFS Integration in your environment, the organisation's Sentinel Hardware Licence Key must be updated.

Set the Integration Link Field to Not Applicable

Before TFS Integration has been installed and run, every Integration Link field (available on the Clients screen) should be set to N/A. This will prevent TFS Integration from processing any clients.

The Integration Link update of all clients can be completed using a database query. Insula Software can assist with bulk update queries.

Enabling Integration for Clients

To validate the integration process and to be sure of the results, two specific tests should be performed.

  1. Update several existing clients.
  2. Create a new client in TFS.

Update Several Existing Clients

To update several existing clients, remove the N/A text entered against the Integration Link field (on the Clients screen) for the required clients. This makes the client eligible to be integrated when choosing the [All Clients] Criteria Method.

Create New Client

To test a single client, create a new client in TFS so that a test of both creating and updating clients in the accounting system can be performed.

Final Review

Run integration and carefully review the results of both the created and updated clients.

A detailed review of the values between the two systems should be performed.

When full testing has been completed, progressively remove the N/A entry from the Integration Link field of all clients, monitoring the results of integration.
