Market Groups Screen

TFS Smart Campaign - Table of Contents

     

        

TFS can organise commonly targeted groups of people or businesses into marketing groups. This is useful for criteria selection as a specific group may be selected for a campaign. All entities within a selected group will be included in the campaign.

  • From the Groups menu, select Market.
  • From the sidebar, select Groups then Market.



An entity may belong to more than one marketing group, but may only appear in each marketing group's list once.

There are two lists on the screen: 

  • Marketing Groups: Displays a list of the current marketing groups.
  • Group Entities: Displays all entities that have been assigned to a selected marketing group.

New marketing groups are added to SmartCampaign through the Market Groups screen.

  1. Click the Marketing Groups list. A shadow will appear around the list to show that it is selected.
  2. Click the New button. The Marketing Group dialog will be displayed.



  3. Enter the marketing group name.
  4. Click the Short Name Copy button () if the short name is to be the same as the name.
    OR
    Enter a short name.
  5. Click the OK button. The Marketing Group dialog will close and the new group will be displayed in the Marketing Groups list and is ready to have entities assigned to it.

  1. Select the required group from the Marketing Groups list.
  2. Click the Group Entities list to select. A shadow will be displayed around the list to indicate that it is selected.
  3. Click the New button. The Search dialog will be displayed.
  4. Enter or select the required search criteria to find the entities for the marketing group.
  5. Click the Search/Refresh button. A list of entities that match the entered criteria will be displayed in the list.
  6. Select one or more entities from the list.
    OR
    Click the Select All button to select all entities in the list.
  7. Click the Select button. The Search dialog will close and the entities have been assigned to the marketing group and will be displayed in the list.

Entities can also be moved from one marketing group list to another.

  1. Select the marketing group to which the entity to be moved currently belongs.
  2. Select the entity to be moved.
  3. Drag and drop the group by keeping the left mouse button depressed, ‘pick up’ the group and drop it into the new location.

Holding the Ctrl key down while dragging the entity will result in the entity being copied to another Marketing Group rather than moved.

All entities have the default rank of [Not Ranked] when they are created and when they are assigned to a marketing group.

  1. Select the entity that is to be modified.
  2. Click the Edit button. The Entity dialog will be displayed.
  3. Select the Marketing tab.
  4. Click the Rank field popup button (). The Select Rank dialog will be displayed.
  5. Select the required rank from the list.
  6. Click the OK button. The Select Rank dialog will close.
  7. Click the OK button. The Entity dialog will close.
