TFS User Guide - Table of Contents

         

The Loan Book screen is used to manage all contracts in the loan book.

The Loan Book list displays each contract in the loan book and details any upcoming payments. Filters can be applied to modify the number of contracts shown in the Loan Book list.

From the Tools menu, select Loan Book.

From the Sidebar, select Tools, then Loan Book.

Filters can be applied to modify the number of contracts shown in the Loan Book list.

  • Financier: Filter by financier.
  • Contract Stage: Filter by contract stage, such as Awaiting Settlement, Complete, or In Progress.
  • Contract Status: Filter by contract status, such as Awaiting Residual, Awaiting Settlement, Behind, Cancelled, Complete, or Up To Date.
  • Client #: Filter based on all or part of the client number.
  • Application #: Filter based on all or part of the application number.
  • Contract #: Filter based on all or part of the contract number.
  • Payments Due From: Filter based on repayment dates on or after the entered date. This can be combined with the Payments Due To field to select a date range.
  • Payments Due To: Filter based on repayment dates before or on the entered date. This can be combined with the Payments Due From field to select a date range.
  • Payment Status: Filter based on payment status, such as All, Behind/Late, Due, or Not Due.

  • Due: The total of the Amt. Due column for all displayed contracts.
  • Balance: The total of the Balance column for all displayed contracts.
  • Financed: The total of the Amt. Financed column for all displayed contracts.

The following columns are displayed in the Loan Book list:

  • Due: Due date for the next payment. This will be empty if the contract has not yet settled or has been completed.
  • Name: Client name.
  • Goods: Description of the goods.
  • Stage: Contract stage.
  • Status: Contract status.
  • Amt. Financed: The total amount financed for the contract, excluding brokerage.
  • Amt. Due: Amount due for the next payment.
  • Balance: Current amount owed by a client to bring their contract up-to-date. This balance includes all overdue payments and any unwaived penalties.
  • Start: Date the contract started.
  • Finish: Date the contract will be completed.
  • Payments: Total number of payments in the contract (including residual).
  • Made: Number of payments made in the contract.
  • Left: Number of payments remaining in the contract.

  • Refresh: Refreshes the Loan Book list.
  • Clear Filters: Resets all filters to their default values.
  • Process Overdue: Updates the payment and contract status of all contracts. This process should be run once per day.
  • Select: Marks the client for the currently highlighted contract as the client displayed in the context bar.
  • Paid On Time: Marks the currently highlighted contract as paid on time. Once a contract is paid on time, the system updates the contract, refreshes the Loan Book list, and highlights the next payment in the list. Clicking Paid On Time will remove any penalties associated with a payment. If penalties are applied to a payment, use the Payment dialog from the Payments screen (see Payments) to process any payments.
  • Edit: Displays the Payment dialog in edit mode for the currently selected contract. If the currently selected contract has not yet settled, the Payment dialog will not be displayed.

When deleting an application the linked loan contract records are also removed
