Performing a HSEQ Observation


The HSEQ (Health and Safety Environmental Quality) Observation feature allows Platform Licensee staff such as site supervisors to check the compliance of a third party organisations staff working on their projects.

The observation process has several steps;

  1. Recording which registered staff members of the organisation were onsite.

  2. Recording any staff who were on-site but had not registered for Safety.

  3. Asking a predefined group of questions. This uses a standard induction. The induction should have;
    i) Allow Multiple Correct Answers


    ii) All answers should be correct



  4. Recording the minutes of the meeting held with the staff members who were present.

Performing the observation

From the projects screen open the Tasks accordion;

When you press the Performa HSEQ Observation the following screen is displayed;

  1. The Task Class and Task Type are set to HSEQ Management and HSEQ Observation and cannot be changed.

  2. Enter the name of the organisation the observation is being performed on.

  3. Select the Question Group to be used by the HSEQ Observation

  4. Complete the Title for the observation.

  5. Complete the Description for the Observation.

  6. Assign the task to a member of staff.

  7. If required you can set Watchers for the task.

  8. Click on Save.

 

The observation task will then appear in the accordion.

When you click on the Observation link the user will then be presented with the HSEQ Observation task screen.

When you click on the Manage Attendees button the following screen is displayed;

 

  1. Select the members of staff who were present.

  2. Enter the name and email address of any staff who were not registered for Safety.

  3. Click Save,

When you click on the Manage Questions button the following screen is displayed and the user selects the relevant answers.

When you click on the Add Topic button you get a simple dialog box where you can enter a topic that was discussed.

When the user clicks Save the topic will be added to the accordion;

Those are the main components of the HSEQ observation. If required the user can add attachments by clicking the Add Attachment button in the Attachments accordion.

If there are any tasks that are required as a result the observation the user can raise a subtask.

When the user has finished the observation they click on the Complete button.

 

They can add a comment if required and then hit Save.

The task is accessible from the Administration  / Tasks menu

In the example below, you can see the view has been filtered with the parameters December and 2019 which were entered as part of the title for the observation
