Platform Credential Requirements

Overview

This article explains the credential requirements for all Perspective Platform appliances.

User credentials

• User logins must be a valid email address. When an email address has been entered an Activation Code will be sent to the supplied address. You will need to enter the supplied code before you can proceed.

• Passwords:

  • Must contain at least 8 characters.

  • Must include at least one upper-case letter

  • Must include at least one special character from the valid options: !%@#$^*?_~

Failed Login Attempts

• Three failed login attempts will result in the account being locked for a period of time (and a minimum of 30 minutes)

• (Scheduled for 2023.3) An account lockout will require the password to be reset.
