Synchronising Logistics Data

The synchronise function is used to establish a connection between the Tablet PC and the office, and to synchronise data.

Synchronisation Settings - Standard

Data can only be synchronised when the connections to the internet, VPN, and Framework have all been confirmed.

  1. From the Framework Logistics Synchronise dialog, select the Standard tab.
  2. Select a standard profile. The synchronise will begin automatically.
  3. When the synchronise has completed, click OK. The Framework Logistics Synchronise dialog will automatically close.

Synchronising Construction Logistics

The Framework Logistics Synchronise dialog includes a number of profiles that are used to update specific data. When databases are large and not all data needs to be updated, selection of one of these profiles will dramatically reduce the amount of time a data synchronise may take to complete.

This should be run once per month, or when template details are changed.

Failed Synchronise

CRITICAL

Any failed synchronise, regardless of the percentage complete, MUST be re-synchronised in full.

Multiple Daily Synchronises

Users can synchronise multiple times throughout the day which will get quicker as the day goes on, but do not add up to the same as performing one at the end of the day. Synchronise times MAY be quicker than one at the end of the day, but will not represent significant time savings over the one daily.

Reallocation and New Supervisors
