Specification Profile

The Specification Profile screen is used to manage the profiles that will be used for specification management items and templates. Specification profiles are a selection of related value ranges that will need to be selected by users when completing a colour item.

Example

Bricks Required, Value Ranges of Manufacturer, Group, etc.

The advantage of a specification profile is that they may be re-used for a number of specification items.

Procedures

Creating A Specification Management Profile Group

  1. From the Groups list, select a specification management group.

  2. Click New. The Specification Profile Management Group dialog will be displayed.

  3. Enter the details.

  4. Click OK. The dialog will close and a new group will be created.

Creating A Specification Profile

  1. From the Groups list, select a specification management group. The Items list will be updated.

  2. Click New. The General tab of the Specification Profile dialog will be displayed.

  3. Enter the details.

  4. Select the Level 1 tab.

  5. Enter the details.

  6. Select the Level 2 tab.

  7. Enter the details.

  8. Select the Level 3 tab.

  9. Enter the details.

  10. Select the Level 4 tab.

  11. Enter the details.

  12. Select the Estimate/PO Mapping tab.

  13. Enter the details.

  14. Click OK. The dialog will close and a new specification profile will be created.

The Copy button can be used to create a duplicate specification profile. From the Items list select the specification profile to be copied followed by the Copy button.
