Day Diary
The Day Diary screen is used to manage all appointments made for all staff for a single day. The diary entries are displayed in time order from the earliest appointment at the top to the latest at the bottom of the list.
The Day Diary screen includes a filter function to customise the way in which the diary entries are displayed.
The Select button is used to change the current client to one that is selected from the Day Diary Items list.
Procedures
Filtering The Day Diary Items List
The diary filter is used to customise the way in which the diary screens will appear on the day, month, and year views of the diary.
- Click Filter. The Item Count tab of the Select Diary Filter Options dialog will be displayed.
- Select the required filter options.
- Select the Day Shading tab.
- Edit the required options.
- Click OK. The dialog will close and the required filter criteria will be processed. The list will be updated.
Selecting A Client
- From the Day Diary Items list, select an item.
- Click Select. The current job will change to be the client relevant to the day diary item. The context bar will be updated.
Creating A Diary Entry
- Click New. The General tab of the Diary Entry dialog will be displayed.
- Enter the details.
- Select the Notes tab.
- Enter any notes.
- Click OK. The dialog will close and a new diary entry will be created.
Select Diary Filter Options Dialog - Item Count Tab
The Item Count tab is used to select the content displayed on the Day Diary, Month Diary, and Year Diary screens. It includes three lists from which multiple selections may be made. These lists may be customised to modify the number of diary entries displayed.
Diary Entry Staff List
Filter the diary screens by staff member.
Column | Description |

Name | Name of the diary entry staff. |
Select | Click to filter the diary screens by staff member. The diary entries for the selected staff will be displayed on the diary screens. Tip: Multiple selections can be made by clicking the individual row. |
Diary Entry Type/Desc List
Filter the diary screens by diary entry appointment, task, or restriction type.

Select | Click to filter the diary screens by diary entry type. The diary entries for the selected diary entry types will be displayed on the diary screens. Tip: Multiple selections can be made by clicking the individual row. |
Diary Entry Location List
Filter the diary screens by diary entry location.

Name | Name of the diary entry location. List of all Diary entry locations in Framework to filter by. |
Select | Click to filter the diary screens by diary entry location. The diary entries for the selected diary entry locations will be displayed on the diary screens. Tip: Multiple selections can be made by clicking the individual row. |
Buttons
The following buttons apply to the currently selected list.

Select Diary Filter Options Dialog - Day Shading Tab
The Day Shading tab is used to filter the records displayed on the Day Diary, Month Diary, and Year Diary screens.
It also includes a diary legend, which is used as a guideline to the colours used on the month and year views to identify the diary entries scheduled for each day.
