Changing Page Format (Printing)

This article explores how to change the format of a page within Framework from A3-A4, A4-A3 etc. For the sake of this article we will assume the user is trying to format from A4 → A3.

Step-by-step guide

Firstly, you will need to print preview the report that you want to change to A3. This will bring up the document in its native format.

Selecting print will simply print with the current settings without changing.


  1. Select print setup to bring up the dialog box for all the current printing options.
  2. Select the printer that you wish to send the document to (A3 Printer is necessary for A3 printing).
  3. Change the size of the Paper from A4 → A3.
  4. Change the orientation of the page to suit the report itself
  5. Re-change orientation to suit the report, ensuring that no items are cut off the page.
  6. Alternatively, select export to PDF, and print it into A3 by blowing it up.

After you have exported, simply open the document in a PDF viewer, and print to the desired A3 printer in the correct format.
