The Email Templates screen is designed to add email and SMS templates to TFS. It is a similar concept to using fields on Mail Merge documents.

- From the Administration menu, select Templates then Email Templates.
- From the sidebar, select Templates then Email Tpl.

Email templates allow TFS users to send pre-configured email or SMS messages to service providers or clients. The following categories are available.
Template Type | Description |
Application | SmartLodge dialog (when emailing applications). |
Blank | Communicate dialog. |
Client | Communicate dialog (when emailing clients). |
Contact | Communicate dialog (when emailing clients). |
Generic Entity | Communicate dialog (when emailing an entity that is not a client contact, e.g vendor). |
Generic Entity (Client Specific) | Communicate dialog (when emailing an entity but requiring client information). |
Quote | Smartlodge dialog (when emailing quotes). |
SmartCampaign – Email | Templates for smart campaign emails. |
SmartCampaign – SMS | Templates for smart campaign SMS (not yet available). |

How to Add ab Email Template - Click here to expand...
For a new company, all email templates are blank.
- From the Category drop-down list, select an email template category.
- Select the security permission level.
- Select the template context, group or user.
- Click the New button. The Email Template dialog will be displayed.
- Enter the name.
- Click the Short Name Copy button () if the short name is to be the same as the name.
OR
Enter a short name. - Click the OK button. The Email Template dialog will close.
- Enter the subject heading text.
- Enter the message body text.
- Place the cursor where a field is required.
- Select the field from the Field Codes drop-down list.
- Click the Insert button.
- Repeat steps 10-12 for every field to be inserted.
