This article shows how to convert a previously created user to a broker.
Selecting the Staff record
The first thing you need to do is add the role of broker to the Staff record. This is don from TFS Administration.
- Select Entity / Entity.
- Click on the Entity Role of Staff.
- Click on the Staff Entity that you wish to edit.
- Click on Edit.
- Click on the Roles / Account tab.
Adding the Broker Role
For the user to appear in the Broker list they must have the role of Broker assigned to them.
- From the Roles /Account Tab.
- Click on New.
- Click on the popup next to Entity Role Name.
- Select the Role of Broker.
- Click OK.
Seelcting the Context
You will need to select the Context that they are a Broker for.
Click on the popup and select the Context.
If they are to be a Broker in multiple contexts you will have to repeat the Adding a Broker Role process.
The user now has the role of Broker assigned to them.
Updating the Broker Details
The user will now appear under the Broker, Entity Roles, Entities. Dependent on your requirements you may wish to update the Roles/Account tab and the Logo tab. to include broker specific Account information or a Logo
Changing the User Group
You now need to change the User Group that the user is associated with.
- From TFS Administration select Security / User.
- Click on the User Group that the user was in.
- Click on the User.
- Select Edit.
- Click on the popup button and select the Brokers user group.
- Click OK.
Adding the BrokerĀ
Now that the roles have been added you can add the entity to the Broker screen
- In TFS Administration select Entity / Brokers.
- Click on New.
- Click on Yes.
- Click on the popup next to entity.
- Click on No to select an Entity that already exists.
- Enter the Name.
- Select the Role.
- Click Search.
- Click on the relevant record if more than one is shown.
- Click Select.
The Broker is now selectable
