The client Search dialog allows users to search for a client using a variety of search criteria. A list of the available search criteria is outlined below. If a client is not found, then modify the search criteria.

This can be accessed by;

Pressing the F4 Key

or

Click on the Select Client icon (   )

Enter Search Criteria Options

FieldDescription

Search Name Field

Search name applicable to the search. Options include:

  • Full name
  • Report/search name
  • All name fields
Name

Search for part or all of the client name. Toggle the button to search anywhere within the name.

Client Number

Search for part or all of the client number. Toggle the button to search anywhere within the number.

Client Type

Filter the search results based on client type.

Client Class

Filter the search results by client class. Options include:

  • Client
  • Prospect
Account Number

Search for part or all of the account number. This is allocated by the financier as their reference to the application (commonly called a contract number).

Trading Name

Search for part or all of the trading name.

Advanced Search

Filter the search results by a specific field. Options include:

  • Address
  • Drivers Licence
  • Email/Website
  • Postcode
  • Registration
  • Telephone

Once an advanced search field has been selected, you can enter an option in the Criteria field.

Criteria

Enter your search criteria for the Advanced Search selection.

Broker

Filter the search results by a specific broker.

List and Buttons

List / ButtonDescription

Search Results List

Lists the results of the search based on the entered criteria.

Search/Refresh ButtonPerforms a search based on the search criteria,
Clear ButtonClears the search criteria and results so that a new search can be performed.
Select ButtonSets the selected search result making them the current client. Will close the search screen.
Close ButtonCloses the search screen without changing the current client.

Performing a Client Search

  1. From the File menu, select Search (Or press F4, or click . The Search dialog will be displayed.
  2. Enter the search criteria.
  3. Click the Select/Refresh button.
  4. Highlight the application in the Search Results list.
  5. Click the Select button. The Search dialog will close.
