TFS 2016 Version 12 brings a new concept of entity ownership. This can be applied to all entities

TFS Main - New Client Dialogue

TFS Main - Entity Dialogue

In the Entity dialogue click on the marketing tab and select the owner.

When you click on the popup next to Owner you will be shown the Select Broker dialogue. If the Owner is not a broker you can select the Entity Role drop down and choose the role of the entity that you want to select (e.g. The owner may be the Enterprise.)

3. The above change must also be applied to the New Client dialog, allowing the owner to be set

- This should be done on the Marketing tab, as the first field group, field on the left hand side

- In this case, when the broker is set (on the left hand side of the General tab), the owner for the client entity should be automatically set and updated to be the same broker entity

- This happens regardless of whether the user has permission to change the ownership

4. The above change must also be applied to the Marketing MDI, allowing the owner to be set

- This should be the first field group, field on the left hand side

5. The above change must also be applied to the Entity Dialog in the TFS Admin Program (which looks different to the TFSMain version)

- This should be on the Marketing tab, as the first field group, field on the left hand side

Business Logic to be implemented:

1. When creating a generic entity (such as an accountant, supplier, etc.) the owner should default to N/A(-2)

2. When creating a client contact, the default owner for the contact entity should be the same as the client owner (applies in new client process, and the contacts MDI)

3. When creating an entity contact for another contact, the owner for the new contact entity should be the same as the parent contact

4. When the broker for a client is changed, and the owner of the client is the same as the original broker, ownership should be changed automatically to the new broker

- this applies to the client entity, and to client contact entities who also are currently owned by the original broker
