This article describes a solution to the error as described below:

If the expiry date for your Framework licence is coming up within 14 days, you will see a message alerting you to this each time you open Framework.

Note

There are no minimum system requirements for the machine that you are plugging the Sentinel Key into.

Any physical Windows machine that is being left on and connected to the network will work. 


  1. Install Sentinel Protection Installer on the NEW Server that the key will be moved to, this can be done during business hours.

  2. Schedule down-time to move the key.
  3. BEFORE Moving the key, open Framework Configuration Utility on the OLD server that you are moving the key FROM.



  4.  Navigate to the Key tab.

  5.  Change the Key Server Name to the Hostname of the NEW server that you are moving the key to.

  6. Press Save



  7. Unplug the key from the OLD server.

  8. Plug the key into the NEW server and restart the following three Sentinel services by manually stopping and starting them.



  9. Run Framework, it should launch successfully.

  10. If Framework fails to launch successfully, try turning off your firewall and reconfigure accordingly.
