The Job Linked Files functionality in Framework allows companies to save job related Framework documents in either the standard Framework folder (typically \[fw folder]\JobFiles\) or a custom folder location. By saving documents that relate to a particular job under these folders, users of Framework and Framework and Framework Logistics Tablet can Tablet can view these documents from within the software.

To manually allocate a Job File location to a Job not using the standard Framework Job Files naming convention of Job number, you:

  1. In the Production Management module of Framework (the initial module you log into in Framework ECM), select the Client\Job Overview

  2. Click on the Edit button on the bottom left-hand side of the screen

  3. On the right-hand side of the screen, under the linked Files heading, toggle the Custom? field to Yes, then press the ellipsis (...) to open the 'Select Folder' dialog.

  4. Navigate to the folder location and click OK to Save

    You can use the drop-down to navigate to network resources (where Windows C: is shown in the screenshot below).

    Note: the above location for jobs files is as an example only, you may have a custom location on a custom folder, and this may not reside in your generic Framework network location.

  5. The custom Job location is now saved against the job

  6. Any files located in the custom job folder can be viewed within Framework ECM  from the following screen:

    Press the jump button next to the 'Linked Files' title on the Job Overview.
