Any workstation or server that is to perform integration must first be installed with all the required software to access and operate the respective systems (including Framework including Framework ECM).

Warning

Ensure Databuild is Ensure Databuild is installed and working on the server/workstation. For detailed instructions for installing and configuring Databuildconfiguring Databuild, please see the relevant Databuild installation relevant Databuild installation product manuals.

Framework Integration

For detailed instructions on installing Framework installing Framework Integration, refer to the Framework Integration Installation the Framework Integration Installation Guide. 

In brief, the installation of the following is required: 

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 / 2008

  • Insula Software Core Components

  • DSN configurations for

    • Framework (FworkSQLEcm)

    • Framework Licence (FworkSQLLic)

    • Framework

...

    • Integration (FworkSQLIntMap)

    • Framework Databuild Job (FworkDBBuildJob)

    • Framework Databuild System (FworkDBBuildSys)

Licence Installation

The following licence is required to be installed and activated on the database server. This can only be done by Insula Software and by Insula Software and will be completed as a part of purchasing Framework Integration purchasing Framework Integration .

Land Job DSN Installation

For Framework Integration to For Framework Integration to read information from Databuild, an ODBC Data Source Name (DSN) connection to the Databuild Land database the Databuild Land database is required.

If using a database with a Microsoft Access database: 

  1. Open Data Sources (ODBC) (Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC)). The ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog will be displayed.

  2. Select the System DSN tab.

  3. Click the Add button. The Create New Data Source dialog will be displayed.

  4. Select Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)

  5. Click the Finish button. The ODBC Microsoft Access Setup dialog will be displayed.

  6. Enter the Data Source Name.

  7. Enter a description.

  8. Click the Select... button. The Select Database dialog will be displayed.

  9. Browse to the *.mdb file.

  10. Click the OK button. The Select Database dialog will close.

  11. Click the OK button. The ODBC Microsoft Access Setup dialog will close.

  12. Click the OK button. The ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog will close.

If using a database with a Microsoft SQL Server database: 

  1. Open Data Sources (ODBC) (Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC)). The ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog will be displayed.

  2. Select the System DSN tab.

  3. Click the Add button. The Create New Data Source dialog will be displayed.

  4. Select SQL Server.

  5. Click the Finish button. The Create a New Data Source to SQL Server dialog will be displayed.

  6. Enter the name.

  7. Enter a description.

  8. Select or enter a server name.

  9. Click the Next button.

  10. Click the Next button.

  11. Tick: Change the default database to

  12. From the Change the default database to drop-down list, select the database.

  13. Click the Next button.

  14. Click the Finish button. The ODBC Microsoft SQL Server Setup dialog will close.

  15. Click the Test Data Source... button. The SQL Server ODBC Data Source Test dialog will be displayed.

  16. If successful, click the OK button. The SQL Server ODBC Data Source Test dialog will close.

  17. Click the OK button. The ODBC Microsoft SQL Server Setup dialog will close.

  18. Click the OK button. The ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog will close.
